Position Summary


Eleven Experience is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Snowcat Driver to drive guests to and from town as well as around our cat ski terrain in our various snowcats. This role is responsible for safely operating our fleet of snowcats and various on/off road vehicles to support the company’s backcountry cat ski operation while providing a high level of hospitality to our guests. The Snowcat Driver will work closely with all Eleven Experience and Irwin Guides departments to ensure smooth daily operations as well as an amazing guest experience. This position requires Salomon binding certification, CPR/1st Aid, limo driver certificate and clean MVR. The ideal candidate will have Snowcat operating experience and snowmobile experience preferred. This position starts at $240 per day plus tips, depending on experience and qualifications. No housing is provided for this position. 


Roles and Responsibilities


Position Purpose

  • To safely operate our fleet of snowcats and various on/off road vehicles to support the company’s backcountry cat ski operation while providing a high level of hospitality to our guests.


Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Safely operate company vehicles such as highway vehicles, snowmobiles, and snowcats.

  • Regularly execute both pre and post operational inspections on the equipment.

  • Help load skis/snowboards after each run into the ski boxes mounted on the side of the cat.

  • Maintain the rear compactor bar and stairs by cleaning snow off regularly.

  • Assist the On Mountain Hospitality (OMH) department with pre/post trip tasks such as setting guests up with skis, loading provisions and equipment, taking out trash/recycling.

  • Communicate with all Eleven Experience and Irwin Guides departments in a professional manner.

  • Facility maintenance such as shoveling and snow blowing when required.

  • Relay any mechanical issues with the equipment to the maintenance department immediately.

  • Assist the maintenance shop with various tasks as needed.

  • Follow all company operating protocols and procedures.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Salomon Binding Technician Certification.

  • First Aid and CPR certifications, or willingness to be trained.

  • Limo driver certificate, or willingness to be trained.

  • Clean MVR.

  • Ability to work professionally in a multi-faceted group dynamic with different departments and communication demands.

  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, keep confidential information confidential, adapt to changing needs.


Preferences

  • Heavy equipment operating experience.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and execute efficiently.

  • Computer literate.

  • Snowmobile experience.


Work Requirements

  • Must be willing to work late when necessary to finish a job/meet a deadline.

  • Must arrive timely to work in inclement weather.

  • Must be able to work outside in challenging winter conditions for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to learn and develop skills as the position evolves.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
